Thank you for clearing that up.
 
 If you ask a formula company how they got your name will they know,  will 
they tell you? I just talked with a mom yesterday how she was so  surprised that 
when she got home from the hospital there was the box of formula  sitting 
there. She did use it along with breastfeeding in the early  days.

given  to the formula company without her consent, or unless the rep is
allowed to  make visits to the unit and is allowed to be in areas where
patients, or  their information is accessable.  

But just to be given to mothers  they do not violate HIPPA
