I also think the PIS, when new and the motor is fresh, is a very appropriate
choice for a NICU mom. I went from a classic for two days in the hospital
to a PIS after my discharge when pumping for my 33 week triplets. I had a
wonderful supply. I knew I would breastfeed for at least a year and I knew
the PIS would be cheaper for me in the long run. I did have a great supply.
I sometimes wonder if the Symphony would have been even better for me, but I
really felt no difference in suction or output between the Classic and PIS.
I never worry about people using the PIS. It's all those Gerber and Evenflo
pumps out there that worry me, especially for mothers of preemies.
