We are creating a discharge bag. Businesses who would like to participate will have the opportunity to be "in the bag" if they meet the criteria (Family Friendly) Our hope is to create something that businesses want to be a part of - while at the same time increasing awareness of support needed by families in our community. I think it will work. We have considered the politics etc..of the business community before moving ahead with this. So it will be a "win-win"
We will begin drafting the criteria list for a business that espouses Family Friendly: Elements of the criteria checklist that come to mind immediately are: Non-Smoking, Lactation Lounge or Place to feed baby/or pump for both employees or customers, provides services/resources that pertain to families. Business will have to meet the criteria on our list to be "in the bag" If they don't meet the criteria - they have the option to change. Anyone else want to add to this? Or has anyone done anything like this?
