I had to laugh at this. During the last 12 yrs there would have been
perhaps a 6 month window where I would have qualified based on the not
pregnant or breastfeeding guidelines. Given that my youngest is just now
one, if I assume that he is my last child I could easily be looking at
another 3-4+ years before lactation ended entirely. If I had more children,
well I could be looking at another decade+ depending on how many and the
timing. :)
So for the "average" woman who may spend 4 yrs of her life pregnant/ nursing
it may not be that long, for some it could be a significant portion of our
adult life.
