Well.... I looked it up in the Nursing Mother's Herbal and it says
butterbur-Pesasites species (leaf & Root) is E - avoid. Toxic [plant with
no justifiable medical use. :-)
Butterfly weed Asclepias tuberosa (root) is C -moderate potential for
toxicity, mainly dose related. Seek an expert herbalist as well as a
lactation consultant before using. Consider safer herbs. :-(
There are other preparations for migraines that nursing mothers can safely
