I was wondering if the mom had tried getting a prescription of Magic Butt
Paste to try. There are quite a few different formulations, and the
pharmacist in my area was not willing to part with the recipe. He made
something up after my MD said about what he wanted in it. I don't know
what exactly was in it. Anyone heard of it? We have also had it in the
nursery to use on detoxing drug babies. I think it is kind of like All
Purpose Nipple Ointment, a combination of something for yeast, something for
bacteria, something for inflammation....etc.
I woud also suggest like someone else, looking at what kind of diapers she
is using. If necessary going to home-washed cloth (with double rinse and
vinegar).
I'd also explore the food sensitivity possibility, trying a naturopath's
suggestions to get a second opinion.
