Firm announces recall of one lot of Similac infant formula
(mod note- see article below)

Columnist
Some 12.9-ounce cans of Similac Advance with Iron powdered infant formula
have been recalled because black plastic particles were found in some cans.
The Ross Products Division of Abbott, Ohio, is recalling lot number 20307RB.
Lot numbers are printed on the bottom of all cans.
The formula was distributed between Sept. 15 and Oct. 18, primarily in
Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and the eastern United States.
The particles resulted from an isolated manufacturing event that was
corrected, the company said.
No serious health or safety issues have been reported that can be attributed
to this situation, the company said.
Consumers should call Ross for more information at 1-(800) 986-8884 between
7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Central time Monday through Friday.
