Hello all,
I need some supporting documentation regarding mothers who are providing
milk for their babies to be allowed to drink water in the NICU while all
others are prohibited from doing so. The CDC and our Illinois public
health regulations are silent on this, referring me back to our
hospital's protocol. In order to provide for these mothers and amend
the protocol, I need documentation. Can any one point me in the right
direction? Is it a derivative of some sort of law regarding the rights
of breastfeeding mothers?
Please email me privately at [log in to unmask] to be sure I receive
the replies. Thanks, Joanne
