Dear Lactnetters,
since I have recently happened to care for a couple of type 1 diabetes
mellitus breastfeeding mothers, I came across - or shall I rather say
stumbled on? -the trigr study. The more I read about it, the more furious
I became. In order to vent this fury, I decided to *reply* to a 2004, vol
328, bmj review article on the topic "Type 1 diabetes:recent
developments", by Devendra D et al ,starting from the principle of *not*
mentioning - how strange - the ongoing trigr study. The letter has been
accepted under the "rapid responses" section of the e-pages only, but you
may access it clicking the name of the author and the volume # in the
search windows of www.bmj.org Have a nice reading.
M.Ersilia Armeni, MD, IBCLC, Roma (Italy)
p.s. I'll be off next week and I will be able to join lactnet again on
feb, 28
