<< Some varieties of tahini (sesame
> seed butter) are good sources of calcium, for example. >>
we did keep an eye on the calcium rich choices, but once i started
really examining the diet and tallying up the calcium, it wasn't
sufficient. and we eat an excellent diet, virtually all whole foods,
lots of green stuff, tahini etc.
i know too many people who's dairy avoiding/allergic preteens have
been dx'ed with osteoporosis. it's critical to keep an eye on it.
i had my bone density done and it wasn't good.....10 years of calcium
rich, non-diary foods, no supplements didn't get the job done. did
lots of dairy as a child, but essentially none from early 20's till
now - 34.
