And we all learned with the "warning" that compounding pharmacies are not
under the jurisdiction of the FDA. So a physician can prescribe
domperidone to be compounded if she sees a need.
I am now reading a book exposing the extent of the pharmaceutical
companies' control of the FDA (US) and regulatory agencies in other
countries. It is an eye opener. I keep thinking of the influence that the
formula (pharmaceutical) companies had in the FDA warning against
domperidone and the timing of the warning to coincide with the publicity
about their influence on the AAP and the Breastfeeding Campaign.
It's all about profits.
