Has this mother already had a gallbladder ultrasound? If not, this can
sometimes replace the scan,since, if it is positive she won't need the scan. In
the past, I have rarely had to order the scan as the US is usually positive
although the scan is more accurate. THis mother can insist on having an US first.
Obviously there is no disruption in breastfeeding with an US. I cannot
recall the name of the contrast used with gallbladder scans. If you find out the
