Ruth Lawrence mentions a case in her book where the mother had Sheehan's
syndrome and established a full milk supply after 2 weeks of using oxytocin nasal
spray. However, if the mothers prolactin levels were truly normal, then why
do we suspect that the damaged pituitary is the culprit? Sounds like fixing the
breastfeeding is needed as well as retesting her prolactin levels before and
after a nursing/pumping. Based on results, Galactogogues like fenugreek,
Reglan should be considered and Oxytocin nasal spray can be compounded. Chris
