Did anyone notice this sentence in the slide show with the dog nursing
the squirrel: "Now Pepper, who hasn't had puppies in four years, is
producing milk again."
Maybe we need to add this as a little PR to our emergency preparedness
information. Or maybe not. Certainly someone is bound to take it the
wrong way. But I just think, if a dog can make milk after it's been
four years since she gave birth, and she can make that milk for a
squirrel, surely we humans have this ability to do this for our own
children.
