Go to Linda J. Smith's site: www.bflrc.com She has written a book on running an LC practice. I can't remember the exact title, but it's something like: The Lactation Consultant in Private Practice, The ABC's of....
Several chapters were written by people with special expertise. It's the #1 choice book specific to our field.

Subject: Business Plan
I am trying to convince my director that our community hospital (about
125 deliveries/month) should open up a breastfeeding store where moms
can rent/purchase pumps and other supplies related primarily to
breastfeeding with maybe some childbirth/infant items available as
well. She has asked me to write a business plan. Has anyone done
something similar? And if so would you be willing to share some
information about it. I have checked several web sites that give info
on writing business plans, but it's a little intimidating. Thanks for
any replies in advance.
