Please help! I have a mom who is breastfeeding her 6 month old and needs to
have surgery on her elbow. The orthopedic dr told her that she would have to
wean her baby before he would perform the surgery because the same hormones
that relax the pelvis are still in her body because she is breastfeeding and
she won't heal fast enough. I read that relaxin is high in the milk but do
you think this is what he means? I told her to ask him for the reference he is
using but she wanted me to post to see what you'all say!
Thanks!
