Usually a lurker but now I have a question. I gave birth to my second son on
March 30th at home 9lbs 8 oz 22 inches long. Nursing is going well as far
as latch and what not. My 2 1/2 year old nurses as well. My nipples have
been itchy and I have been watching baby for thrush. Constant spitter so
his tongue is usually white. However this morning I noticed white patches
on his gums. Plan on doing gentian violet with him. As well as treating
myself and laundry ect. How should I treat my nursing toddler? I don't
really want questions about purple lips on him ect. The whole world doesn't
need to know I am tandem nursing. And I have not seen patches on his mouth.
Oh and I never had thrush with first one. This is my first time with thrush.
