A month ago I wrote about a mother who had to go to a funeral in her home country, leaving her 3 month old behind because the baby didn't have a passport. She took a hand pump with her, pumped pretty successfully the whole 10 days, and brought the milk back, packed in dry ice, without incident.
She had left a lot of milk here, but not quite enough to cover her absence. Her playgroup made up the difference, and she felt really cared for, to know that her friends would do that for her. A happy ending to a sad event.
