I heard this same presentation given by Niles Newton at the LLLI Conference about 14 years ago. I was so grateful. b/c that is how I fed my babies from then on. It is also how I have taught all mothers about feeding solids ever since, and I have always been dismayed that not even LLL teaches this way and certainly very few LC's and not a single ped I know. It sure made my life a lot easier, but it involves that elusive concept that so many of us seem to have such difficulty with--trust.
