Hi all,
I searched the archives and didn't manage to find anything so I am sending out the feelers
to our collective wealth of info. and knowledge.
about a year ago there was a professor here at Bar Ilan University who did a study about reasons for bfg and found (not that it was the focus of the study, but it certainly hit the headlines) that breastfed babies had less psycho social skills, more fearful of strangers, etc.......She examined 200 babies at 6 months of age. That in itself struck me as strange - to check a 6 months old social abilities!! when according to child development, normal development shows fears of strangers, and separation anxiety beginning from 6 months to 8 or 10 months. I responded by commenting on milestones in emotional development, and if 6 month olds can be handed from one to another, having not been successfully attached to the mom, then maybe there is cause for worry at the lack of what we know as "normal" development. Anyways, I did elaborate a bit more, but my query is does anyone know of any updated research or studies regarding attachment and psychosocial development? I would love to send them to this journalist who interviewed me.
Thanks
