Linda, another thought might be for the mother to
offer a little help to her local LLL group(s) in
organizing or hosting a special topic meeting or a
play group. One nursing mother generally attracts
another if she stays still long enough.
One frustration I've had in orchestrating such support
in my community is gathering "all the longterm
nursers" or "all the adoptive nursing moms" or "all
the nursing moms of twins & triplets" together long
enough for them to say "Oh!! You too? Good to meet
you!"
Online groups are great but there's nothing like
finding like-minded mothers right around the corner.
Maybe she's given it quite a go already, but I
wouldn't give up too fast.
