I think what's very interesting about the FAO Schwartz example is that
no one was ever told not to breastfeed. The entire situation came from
a conversation I had with a young employee who simply said she would
direct women to breastfeed in the bathrooms, and who said that children
should never have to see such a thing as breastfeeding. They were so
very proactive based on a few comments made by an employee. That makes
this story even a better example of how employers and stores and such
should react to this sort of situation. FAO was very proactive, and
responded appropriately in both a legal and moral way, and they should
be commended for that.
