Hi! I am a staff nurse in a Neonatal ICU. I am also an IBCLC. I teach a
2X/week breastfeeding class. I also facialitate a Breastfeeding Group. We
started offering the Breastfeeding Group at my Hospital 6 months ago and
it has been really challeging to get Mothers to attend. Any
thoughts/ideas? The group is free, snack is provided, and we have a
speaker (15-20 min.) such as former NICU BF Mom, LLL, Dietician, etc. When
Moms attend the evaluations are all positive, but I just struggle to get
Moms to attend. Any advice/wisdom would be greatly welcome! Thank You!
Mary Sirian Peterson, RN, IBCLC
