Hello
My daughter Lexie is nine, and on Monday night she fell very hard and
broke her leg at the Femural Neck. She had three pins put in and is in
a body cast. As a long term breastfeeding child and a daughter of a
hard core lactavist, she wanted breastmilk to help her recover, so I
found her some, from a friend. She got it today, took a sip (her first
breastmilk in a few years) and said "hey, Penny must have been eating
chocolate, this tastes like chocolate!" I called Penny and she
confirmed that she had been on a bit of a chocolate binge lately.
So, that explains why my girls love chocolate, and confirms that our
milk really does take on the flavor of chocolate! I always thought that
Janene was kidding when she said my milk was chocolately on the right
side, well, she probably was because she said the left was strawberry!
An off topic question but does anyone know how to get help for nursing
care (not covered by insurance) for major orthipedic situations.
Lexie's in a hospital bed in the living room for 4-6 weeks, and pretty
immobile for a few more weeks after that, and I'm thinking I need some
help beyond the daily nurse visits...
Joylyn
