I have been asked about a dietary supplement, epigallocatechin
gallate (egcg). It is apparently a powerful antioxidant polyphenol
flavonoid derived from green tea.

Does anyone know --
Are there concerns if a nursing mother uses a product such as this?
Antioxidants in general are 'good guys' of course, but this one is
touted as being much stronger than other dietary sources.
How much of something like this might pass into breastmilk?
Obviously there is no data -- I am looking for an educated guess,
based on the type of compound it is.
Any insights??
Please post to me privately as well as to the list. I am nomail as I
prepare for the LLLI conference!
