One of our very supportive pediatricians has been known to say that there
are 60-70 kcal in colostrum. She also does breastfeeding education to the
pediatric residents so I am hoping her information is correct. I would love
to believe this, but I have been unable to find any research to back this
up. I do plan on asking her where she found this information, but I
wondered if any of you would have any recent information on the calories of
colostrum that you could share with me. I searched the archives, but was
unable to find anything precise or recent.
