I had never heard of this syndrome until I was reading about GERD.  It
consists of characteristic movements/behavior in connection with infant
feeding, and according to some, may be a result of baby's compensating for
the pain of gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
Has the baby in question been examined for GERD?  Are there feeding
difficulties?
