But perhaps these less committed IBCLCs will catch the "breastfeeding bug"
as they gain knowledge and experience?  The feedback you get when you help
a mother with sore nipples latch pain-free for the first time feels pretty
good.  There's nothing like positive reinforcement to help someone become
more enthusiastic.

Also remember the effects of having a peer group reinforce behavior.  LLLI
discovered long ago that when mothers are among other breastfeeding mothers
their commitment to breastfeeding is higher.  I believe that as "less
committed" IBCLCs are encouraged by "more committed" IBCLCs their
enthusiasm will increase.
