Since there are still some nursing sessions going on, and no real idea how
many ounces are ingested then, I would advise watching the baby vs the
ounces...I assume this 10 month old is still in diapers ? ;-) So, can see
if output still seems appropriate (amount, color). Are there any signs of
dehydration the mother is worried about? Throwing the drink away may be a
game vs a way of saying I don't need a drink, but the truly thirsty baby
(granted they understand the link between the sippy cup and satisfying
thirst)would probably drink. You don't say how long weaning has been going
on, and how long sippy cup used. If just starting to wean, those 2-3
nursings may have more volume.
