I wonder if all mothers milk is the same regardless of moms diet? My
daughter who is breastfeeding her 7 month old daughter had two gallbladder
attacks the first two months after giving birth. Her gallstones were
visible by ultrasound in the emergency room. Instead of having her
gallbladder removed she immediately changed her diet, began recommended
supplements and has had no more attacks. She watches her fat intake, but
not as stringently now as she did right after the attacks.

Her pumped breastmilk has no more than a 1/16th to 1/8th inch layer of fat
atop her milk. I remember when I hand expressed for her I had about a
3/8ths inch layer of fat on my milk at any time. Her baby also has some dry
scalp and dry patches in her creases. I believe this is related to her low
fat milk. Her baby is lean and long like her husband and meets and exceeds
her physical and mental milestones for a 7 month old.

Any comments as to this kind of visual difference in milk composition?
