A social worker at our hospital had lunch with me the other day. She is 30
weeks pregnant with first baby and wants to breastfeed. Told me she had a
double mastectomy 2 years ago followed by reconstruction surgery. She said she
had some nerve sensation in her nipples. I told her it was a "wait and see
what happens". She admitted that her breasts had gotten larger in pregnancy.
Does anyone have any advice they can share about the success for these moms
with this history? Feel free to email me privately at [log in to unmask]
(mailto:[log in to unmask]) .
Thanks in advance. Loni Denman RN IBCLC
