Pam - Thanks for sending us long and heart-felt update, with further
background info.  It certainly sounds now as if this baby has a health
problem rather than a feeding problem. The metallic smell to the stool
which you describe, plus colour, makes me wonder if there is some
intestinal bleeding.  Excellent that another paediatrician will be
evaluating the baby immediately.  Hang in there with the defensive
behaviour of Dr W.  I am on the edge of my chair - please let us have
progress reports.  Meanwhile isn't it lucky that this baby, who actually
sounds very sick, is exclusively breastfed??
