in the end, she may have to consider temporarily suspeding her vegan
diet if she wants to continue to breastfeed her infant (and have him
happy and not reacting to her diet).
We used to be veg (eggs but no dairy at all) and my youngest is allergic
to eggs, soy, most beans, most nuts and all dairy. We're no longer veg.
It was an easy decision, but difficult to implement b/c for me, the veg
thing was purely ethical. I struggled with the issue of eating
animals. It still is a struggle, but I know it's the only healthy
option for my kids at this time.
