Lori D states: "She said she would send me the references that gut flora
does not change with
formula. I'll believe it when I see it. Loni D."
I was at the conference and Jane Heinig was not the speaker--it was one of
her doctoral students. She did not state that formula does not change gut
flora but that "just one bottle" in the first two weeks would not change the
flora--it takes up to two weeks for the gut flora to settle into what it is
eventually going to be. This did not particularly impress me since, in so many
cases, that one bottle is the slippery slope to many more and would definitely
change the flora environment in the gut. As far as the science for her claims
goes, I can't comment on it.
