Dear Friends:
I have had conversation with the owner of this website. She is very
clear that she is not a lactation consultant and does not represent herself as
one; she is a dedicated nursing mother that had this website evolve out of
other work that she has done, which includes having weekly mothers' meetings at
her residence, where women get together to talk about everything. i-Bsolutions
is her personal website development company.
At my suggestion, she has included information about the WHO Code on her
site and was grateful for my suggestion to make a link to IBLCE for a
directory because she has many contacts across the country that are searching for
IBCLCs.
I find it disturbing that our community is critical of a person of good
intentions, whose website has no worse information than many other websites.
While she has constructed her website in a different way than many of us
would have done, there are many creative and interesting features there that will
bring more people in.
No one owns breastfeeding, save for each individual dyad.
warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, MS, Mother of 2, IBCLC, CCE
