The American Academy of Pediatrics addresses smoking in
their statement, "The Transfer of Drugs and Other Chemicals
into Human Milk", 2001. While it does not give an
endorsement to breastfeeding and smoking, the discussion
includes the statement, "It may be that breastfeeding and
smoking is less detrimental to the child than bottle feeding
and smoking."
