My computer's spell checker insisted it be 2 separate words until I "taught"
it what we feel is the correct way (one word).  I suspect that since we
don't combine "bottle feeding" into one word, the same principle is applied
to breastfeeding.  Tome it's just another example of the attitude that they
are equal and interchangeable!
