Not only were milk ducts severed, but nerves were severed too. Isn't that
why we are so concerned with reduction surgery and supply? Maybe I've missed
something in my reading about the direction of the incisions but if they were
"horizontal" that could be it. More stimulation isn't going to help and it may
put her over the edge. Judging from your description, milk production has
effectively decreased, if not ceased, on that breast. Hope you find the source
of infection soon.
