could you elaborate on a vitamin D insufficiency's role in tooth decay?  Is
that an insufficiency pre or post natal?  I run a list for breastfeeding
parents whose children are experiencing early tooth decay.  Some of this
decay is occuring so early, that it seems to point to some kind of genetic
or phyisical defect, rather than the foods or cleaning after the teeth
erupt.  A prenatal vitamin D defiency (while tooth buds are being formed in
the first 2-3 months) was mentioned at a recent breastfeedingmeeting I
attended, but I'd like to find more research or articles that explains the
role of vitamin D in tooth development.
