Hi Lisa
I have worked with many thrush patients and it can be a real challenge to
get rid of it! One of the most important things is that mom and baby must be
treated at the same time for at least 2 weeks.
You didn't mention that she has tried Gentian Violet - although it is messy-
it can really work.
Pat Gima, fellow IBCLC, has a wonderful written plan that is on my website
at

Also Jack Newmans articles on my site :

Dr Jay Gordons thrush page
http://www.drjaygordon.com/bf/thrush.htmhttp://www.drjaygordon.com/links/BF/thrush.htm
I know that is a lot of links and a lot of info, but it sounds like to me
mom has tried a lot of treatments but never an intensive enough one for long
enough.
At this point, Id encourage her to try all the herbals mentioned in the
above links for her self and the ones recommended for baby, the GV and if
she can get diflucan for her and baby to do a good 2 week or till she is
pain free round of that, she is a very dedicated mom , I hope she can get
this resolved. Sometimes is moms will print all this info out and share it
with their doctor, they will be more willing to write the diflucan for mom
and baby.
Best wishes,
Cindy
