Greetings all -
I am about to start a research project looking at ways of increasing
duration of breastfeeding in working mothers (or, given our recent
discussion on semantics, duration of feeding breastmilk from breast or
bottle - to be precise ;-). One thing I want to survey is general attitudes
about breastfeeding in the mothers and levels of support they are getting
from friends and family - then add in the work components on top of that. I
know similar surveys have been done before, and in the interest of
standardization and not reinventing the wheel, I am looking for any survey
questions people may have used in their own research, or papers in which
the questions were published with the results. I want the questionnaire to
be short enough that a 2 weeks postpartum mom will actually answer it, and
want to get a general sense of her attitudes about breastfeeding and the
kind of support she has at home before returning to work.
You can email me off list ([log in to unmask]) or send to the list if
you think it will be of general interest.
Thanks so much!
