Alice says,

I've used occlusive dressings for my psoriasis and it works well. It
would
be interesting to do a study on this inexpensive way to heal nipples and I
too
would be interested to know if the plastic wrap works as well as hydrogels.

In the early 90's, I believe, Verity Livingstone from Vancouver (??) spoke
at a March of Dimes conference, and her recommendation for treatment of sore
nipples was vaseline covered with saran wrap. While I can't give you chapter
and verse, I am quite sure she has published on that very issue. I don't
know if it would be in the Lactnet archives or not since I don't remember if it
was before or after Lactnet was born.
