fortunately or unfortunately, I think this is the only safe solution.
Many of the other ideas (incl mom wearning a sling containing baby
while sleeping on her side.....or shoving blankets into the spaces
inbetween the bed/rails) are terribly risky from a SIDS perspective
and I can't imagine them passing risk management in a hospital.
i'd love to see the sidecars in use here but can't imagine that the
powers that be would be willing to shell out the bucks for it.
