This sounds fascinating, please post to the list! Thank you.
Just last week one of our OB docs said I have a question for you, and he
asked me why since we were such a natural group -- (most of our nurses are
into herbs and massage therapy, hydrotherapy and such) do moms that want to
express milk always want a pump, he said that he shows them in the office
how to do it by hand. I told him that I felt a lot of women don't have
enough comfort with their bodies to hand express, and even though when done
correctly, it can be just as quick as the best pump. He said all his wife
used (she is an ER doc) was hand expression and she did great!

Recently someone mentioned a presentation about hand expression. The
presenter had a breast model that she used to demo hand expression. When
the learner did it right, she got a dollop of hand cream.
Tell me more about this demonstration breast model? Privately made?
Manufactured? Available for purchase? Instructions? Anything?
Thanks.
