NOT a flame -- just a reflection:  "most people in my generation SURVIVED."
I hear this from so many people supporting artificial feeds -- truth is
that everyone they know survived!! (Because they never knew the ones who
died). However, in the 1940's, infant death rates were 7 times what they
are today. People didn't talk much about infant deaths back then --
reflecting from when it was one in ten only a few decades earlier to 1 in
20 in 1944. People don't talk about having siblings who died in infancy
either, but ask around...
