This is a very complex issue that we have covered several times before.
There is not 1 "right" answer. Although maternal antibodies are transferred along
with the CMV virus through breastmilk, extremely preterm infants (< 30 weeks)
may still get serious, symptomatic diease because of their very immature
cellular immune system. I have a brief set of powerpoint slides on this subject I
am willing to share and will refer you to a protocol we did a few years ago
