b-strep a STD? Is there any other way that a woman can commonly "acquire"
it? I usually talk with the newly delivered breastfeeding mom about
watching for possible yeast if she is positive (and she's usually being
treated with AbX)

B-strep can be an std, it can also be just riding around symptom-free in the
guts/bowl/colon, along with e-coli and some other baddies, and can move to
the birth canal with any "back to front" toilet, bath, or sex practices.
Always "front to back", never "back to front", and with toilet tissue, it is
"front to back and drop", never fold and wipe again with the same tissue.
