I don't have it in front of me, it's at work, but I believe that is the
article I left for the physician in question. He got upset becoz my partner
gave the names/numbers of 2 physicians who do treat tongue-tie w/ frenotomy
(one is an ENT and the other is an oral surgeon). I usually do the same
thing (give the 2 docs contact info) but advise the client to first see what
the pedi can do and ask him for the referral.
When I called him on Monday to talk about the situation he said there was no
problem. It was a holiday w/e and the mother was experienced and he did not
want me to have to see the pt on the holiday w/e. He acted like nothing at
all was wrong, altho the nurse had seen him on Friday "throw a fit" and get
"furious." (he had written an order 'no lact. consult unless ordered by me
or my partners.') I think *maybe* he read the article.??
