Dear Friends:
Mothers in this study reported that glycerin gel pads felt the best.
My concern about gel pads is that they are expensive and each pair is to
be used for 24 hours only. Mary Ziemer PhD reported that mothers in her
studies enjoyed cool, moist compresses for comfort on their sore nipples.
I am also concerned that gel pads are marketed as prevention of nipple
soreness; I have received many free samples and have seen this marketing more
than once.
Why spend money for product when so much nipple soreness can be
prevented? Why spend money for product when moms can use a cool, wet compress at home
for free?
warmly,
