Exactly! I think it was a bad choice for illustration purposes.

Yep. I hope Linda will weigh in on her recommendations. I'm sure she has
a better way to describe it. As I recall, the reason for doing it was so
the baby gets more of the areola in its mouth so Mom can avoid or at least
decrease nipple soreness.
